- Memorial button created in memory of Joshua M. Rosenblum. The button is blue with a red heart in the center and a yellow lei. Printed text inside the heart reads: "9-11-2001 | We will never | Forget." "Joshua M. Rosenblum" is printed below the heart and "Rolling Requiem" is printed repeatedly around the border of the button.
- Historical Notes
- Born in Brooklyn, Joshua Rosenblum lived in Hoboken, New Jersey, with his fiancée, Gina, and her daughter. The three spent Labor Day weekend of 2001 at the New Jersey shore. Joshua was an assistant trader at Cantor Fitzgerald, where Gina also worked. With their wedding set for September 15, Gina stayed home on September 11 to plan. Joshua went to work on the North Tower’s 104th floor. He was 28 years old.
Curator's Comment
For the Rolling Requiem project, choirs around the world sang Mozart’s Requiem at 8:46 a.m. local time on the anniversary of September 11.
