- White long-sleeved uniform shirt belonging to Thomas Edward Jurgens. The shirt has a New York State Courts patch on the upper left sleeve with the state seal depicted on the patch.
- Historical Notes
- Born in Valley Stream, Long Island, Thomas Jurgens lived in Meadowmere Park with his wife, Joan. A trained emergency medical technician and volunteer firefighter, Thomas worked for the NYS Unified Court System as a senior court officer. On September 11, he was on duty near the World Trade Center. Officer Jurgens grabbed a medical kit and responded to the towers with his colleagues. He was 26 years old.
