- Green T-shirt belonging to Michael Scott Carlo. "Michael Carlo, Inc. | Roofing & Waterproofing" is printed on the front left breast pocket. Printed text on the back of the shirt reads: "Roofing | Residential & Commercial | Licensed & Insured | (718) 767-4663 | Michael Carlo, Inc." The shirt has small white stains on the front.
- Historical Notes
- Born in Queens, Michael Carlo lived in Long Beach, Long Island, near the ocean. A firefighter with FDNY Engine Company 230, Michael helped found the FDNY volleyball team, which went to Sweden for the Police and Fire Olympics in 1999. Michael was scheduled to travel to the Virgin Islands on September 12 for a sailing course. On September 11, Firefighter Carlo responded to the towers. He was 34 years old.
