- Small clear plastic Tupperware container with a white lid. The container is filled with a fine gray dust.
- Historical Notes
- Immediately after the collapse of the Twin Towers, layers of thick gray dust and ash coated streets, vehicles, windows, and the interiors of homes and offices throughout lower Manhattan. The dust was a presence for months. Some people collected dust in an impulse to preserve and document what they experienced.
