- Historical Notes
- Gordon Aamoth grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with his parents and two brothers. He played hockey and football in high school, earned a business degree in college, and moved to Manhattan to be an investment banker at Sandler O’Neill & Partners. On September 10, Gordon closed the biggest merger deal of his career. On September 11, he was on the 104th floor of the South Tower. Gordon was 32 years old.
