- Dark blue tallit bag belonging to Victor Wald. The bag contains a tallit (Jewish prayer shawl), two yarmulkes, and a fabric swatch. The tallit bag is embroidered in gold thread with the Hebrew word for "tallit," which means cover or sheet.
- Historical Notes
- Native New Yorker Victor Wald lived with his wife, Rebecca, and their two daughters in Manhattan. An avid reader, he filled their apartment with books, especially on history and Judaism. Victor was a broker at Avalon Partners on the North Tower’s 83rd floor. On September 11, a stranger, Harry Ramos, helped him down the stairs. The two were last seen on the 36th floor. Victor was 49 years old.
