Slipper, Recovered
- Description
- Recovered slipper with the American Airlines "AA" logo printed on the strap. The slipper is faded blue and covered in dried dirt and rust stains.
- Historical Notes
- Many have assumed that this single slipper, recovered at Ground Zero and bearing the logo of American Airlines, originated from Flight 11. In 2001, this type of slipper was no longer being issued to passengers flying on American Airlines' domestic flights. It is not known if this slipper belonged to someone who worked at the World Trade Center or to a passenger or crew member aboard one of the hijacked planes.
