Handwritten note on a foam craft heart, with red, white, and blue stars and stripes on the front. The tribute was left at the 9/11 Memorial in memory of Frankie Serrano and
Edward Saiya. The note written on the back of the star reads: "Hailey Perez 9/11/16 | Frank, Ed, | you stayed by | Kenny till the | end we | remember | all of you. | [heart] Hailey."

Newark, New Jersey, native Frankie Serrano lived in Elizabeth with his mother and sister. Frankie enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend, Kristen, and listening to music from the 1950s and 1960s. He rooted for the New York Mets and bowled in four local leagues. A telecommunications technician at Genuity Solutions, on September 11, Frankie was at work on the South Tower’s 110th floor. He was 23 years old.
Edward Saiya was born and lived in Brooklyn. He spent weekends with his two children and enjoyed taking them camping, fishing, and skiing. The three of them had vacationed together in Hawaii two weeks before September 11. That day, Edward, a communications engineer with Genuity Solutions, was at work on the 110th floor of the South Tower. Edward was 49 years old.

This tribute was left on the S-45 parapet of the South Pool on the 9/11 Memorial for Frankie Serrano and Edward Saiya on September 11, 2016.
