9/11 Memorial Towers of Unity
- Description
- Freestanding glazed ceramic sculptures of the Twin Towers created by Richard Sean Manning and titled 9/11 Memorial Towers of Unity, 2015. Each tower consists of four ceramic pieces stacked on top of each other. The sculpture representing the North Tower includes a separate metallic antenna at the top.
- Historical Notes
- The vertically stacked cylinders in Richard Sean Manning’s sculptures represent offices, with doors and windows cut into them to suggest that companies in the Twin Towers were akin to family homes.
