- Blue singlet created in memory of Karen Ann Martin. The front of the singlet features "The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society TEAM | IN TRAINING" logo. "R | Massachusetts Chapter" is printed above the logo and the event sponsors are listed below. On the back is an American flag patch. "Serving Massachusetts, | Maine & | New Hampshire" is printed below the patch. "American | FL. # 11 | Karen Martin" is printed in the center, with sponsor logos printed at the bottom.
- Historical Notes
- Karen Martin was born in Beverly, Massachusetts, and lived in Danvers. A sportswoman with a competitive streak, she preferred the steeper slopes when skiing, and when she golfed, she used the men’s tee. An American Airlines flight attendant since 1989, on September 11, Karen was serving as lead flight attendant aboard Flight 11. She was 40 years old.
