- White cotton long-sleeved T-shirt created for a memorial event held in memory of John Michael Sbarbaro. On the left breast of the shirt is a small image of a martini glass with a golf flag and text: "The 19th Hole." Printed below the image is text: "John Sbarbaro | Memorial Golf Outing | May 13, 2006." "Sbarbaro | 80" is printed on the back.
- Historical Notes
- Lifelong Brooklyn resident John Sbarbaro lived in Bay Ridge with his partner, Jude. John coached a local football team, golfed even in the dead of winter, and regularly attended New York Mets spring training, where he and friends formed a kazoo-playing cheering section. On September 11, John, a bond trader at Cantor Fitzgerald, was at work on the North Tower‘s 105th floor. He was 45 years old.
