Baseball Cap
- Description
- Baseball cap from a scholarship golf tournament held in memory of Martin Stewart Niederer. The cap is navy blue with a basketball hoop embroidered on the front with a ball, half basketball and half golf ball, going through the net. On the back of the cap is embroidered: "Martin Niederer | Scholarship Golf | Tournament 2002." "McKesson" is embroidered on the side of the cap.
- Historical Notes
- A Teaneck, New Jersey, native who lived in Hoboken, Martin Niederer played basketball through high school and at the University of Vermont, from which he graduated in 1999. He became interested in a career on Wall Street when he took a college field trip there. On September 11, he was at work on the North Tower’s 104th floor at Cantor Fitzgerald, where he was a securities trader. Martin was 23 years old.
