- WABC-TV New York jacket belonging to Donald Joseph DiFranco. The jacket is blue wool with light-tan leather sleeves and a brown leather collar. The logo for Channel 7 WABC New York is embroidered on the left breast of the jacket. "Eyewitness News 7 | WABC-TV" is embroidered on the back.
- Historical Notes
- Lifelong Brooklynite Donald DiFranco was a tech-savvy handyman who helped his family with tasks ranging from home renovations to tax returns. A broadcast engineer at WABC-TV for 13 years, he was responsible for the station’s transmitter on the North Tower’s 110th floor. After the tower was hit on September 11, Donald called the WABC-TV control room to say service might be disrupted. He was 43 years old.
