T-Shirt

- White T-shirt created in memory of Tonyell F. McDay. The front of the shirt includes a photo transfer depicting McDay superimposed over an image of the Twin Towers, an American flag background, and printed text: "Absent | 9-11-01 | We Miss You | Tonyell Fannae McDay." On the back of the shirt is an image of an angel with a photo transfer depicting McDay in front and printed text: "Present | We Have You | 'Tootie'."
- Historical Notes
- Jersey City, New Jersey, native Tonyell McDay lived in Colonia with her parents. She was a published poet and a gospel singer who sang with a choir that was about to record its first album. With skills honed as a computer help desk analyst at Marsh & McLennan, Tonyell often repaired friends’ computers for free. On September 11, she was at work on the North Tower’s 97th floor. Tonyell was 25 years old.
