- Memorial ornament created in memory of Wayne Terrial Davis. The ornament includes three wooden cutout shapes: a painted star, an American flag, and a heart. "Pray For Wayne" is handwritten on the cutouts. Blue fabric ribbons are tied to the ornament.
- Historical Notes
- Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Wayne Davis lived in Fort Meade, Maryland, with his wife, Tanya, and their three children. After serving in the U.S. Army for eight years, he completed a bachelor’s degree in computer systems on September 7, 2001. Four days later, Wayne, a senior sales engineer for Callixa Corporation, was attending a conference on the North Tower’s 106th floor. He was 29 years old.
Curator's Comment
This ornament was made by a neighbor after 9/11 and mounted on the front door of the Davis home until the family moved.
