- Description
- American flag memorial quilt created in memory of the parishioners at the Holy Child Catholic Church in Staten Island who died on 9/11, including Jennifer Lynn Tzemis. The small quilt resembles an American flag with the victim names printed in the white stripes. Jennifer Tzemis is the first name at the top of the quilt.
- Historical Notes
- Brooklyn-born Jennifer Tzemis lived with her parents on Staten Island. Jennifer worked in finance, like her father, sister, and fiancé, Rick. She was a chartered financial analyst and vice president at Fred Alger Management. During their commute, she and her father talked of founding a family financial firm. On September 11, Jennifer was at her office on the North Tower’s 93rd floor. She was 26 years old.
