- American flag, with fold marks. This flag was given to the family of Durrell V. Pearsall, Jr.
- Historical Notes
- Durrell Pearsall was raised and lived in Hempstead on Long Island. Much of his life revolved around FDNY Rescue Company 4. Captain of the FDNY football team, Durrell was also a drummer in the FDNY Emerald Society Pipes and Drums and had a tattoo of the band’s logo. On September 11, Firefighter Pearsall responded to the towers. He was 34 years old.

This flag was draped over the body of Durrell V. Pearsall, Jr., when his remains were recovered from Ground Zero.
