- FDNY uniform polo shirt belonging to Martin N. DeMeo. "FDNY" is embroidered in white on the left breast and "DeMEO" on the right. "FDNY" is printed in white on the back of the shirt.
- Historical Notes
- Born in Glen Cove, Long Island, Martin DeMeo lived in nearby Farmingville with his wife, Joan, and their two teenage children. Martin was a baseball fan and had collected hundreds of Major League players’ autographs on baseball cards and balls. A 16-year FDNY veteran assigned to Hazmat Company 1, on September 11 Firefighter DeMeo responded with his unit to the World Trade Center. He was 47 years old.
