- Mitre brand blue, green, and white soccer ball belonging to Michael T. Quilty. Handwritten on the ball is: "Michael J. Petrides | Parent Sponsored Soccer Club | Girls Under 8 Inaugural Year | 1996 | Coach Len Merola | Asst. Mike Quilty." The ball has been signed by the team members.
- Historical Notes
- Born in Sunnyside, Staten Island, Michael Quilty lived with his wife, Susan, and their two teenagers in Castleton Corners. His interests ranged from carpentry and making stained glass to scuba diving and flying airplanes. September 5 marked Michael’s 20th anniversary with the FDNY. On September 11, Lieutenant Quilty responded to the World Trade Center with Ladder Company 11. He was 42 years old.

The soccer ball is signed by the girls on the soccer team coached by Michael T. Quilty at the Petrides School in 1996, including his daughter.
