Cell Phone, Recovered
- Description
- Recovered Bell Atlantic Mobile cell phone belonging to Margaret L. Benson. The phone is significantly damaged, has a distorted screen, and the lower portion of the phone case is broken, revealing the interior components. The phone is slightly dusty.
- Historical Notes
- Brooklyn native Margaret Benson lived in Rockaway, New Jersey, with her husband, James. They had two children. Margaret was a Eucharistic minister at her church and offered communion to seniors and hospital patients who could not attend services. A 33-year Port Authority employee, she worked in human resources. On September 11, Margaret went to work on the North Tower’s 71st floor. She was 51 years old.
