- Description
- American flag memorial quilt created in memory of Lorraine Mary Greene Lee. The small quilt resembles an American flag. "Lorraine" is embroidered in the center with a heart surrounding the name. On the back is a tag with printed text: "Made for Barbara | with love by | Anna | March 2002."
- Historical Notes
- Born on Staten Island, Lorraine Lee lived in Eltingville with her husband, Johnny. The couple attended tai chi classes together and took annual cruises to Bermuda. Lorraine also served as a lector at her church, reading aloud at Sunday services. On September 11, Lorraine was on the 101st floor of the South Tower, where she worked as an administrative assistant at Aon Corporation. She was 37 years old.
