Rosary, Recovered
- Description
- Recovered rosary belonging to Lorraine Mary Greene Lee. The rosary is made of teal green and gray stone beads on a metal chain with a Virgin Mary centerpiece medallion. The chain is slightly tarnished and the crucifix is missing.
- Historical Notes
- Born on Staten Island, Lorraine Lee lived in Eltingville with her husband, Johnny. The couple attended tai chi classes together and took annual cruises to Bermuda. Lorraine also served as a lector at her church, reading aloud at Sunday services. On September 11, Lorraine was on the 101st floor of the South Tower, where she worked as an administrative assistant at Aon Corporation. She was 37 years old.
