- Handwritten poem left at the 9/11 Memorial in memory of Lukasz Tomasz Milewski. The poem reads:
"A loved ones loss
is very hard
it can tear
families hearts apart
On 9/11
a very sad day
my uncle Lukasz
was taken away
it's unfair for
such an innocent man
to be taken by
an evil plan
On this day,
many innocent lives
were taken high
up to the sky
amongst the many
Lukasz was there
his family had
many prayers
I never met him
but one thing I know
is that I wish I had
a chance to say hello
I love you Lukasz,
I hope you know

I'll never let go." - Historical Notes
- Lukasz Milewski was born in Suwałki, Poland. He was a fan of techno music and enjoyed going to dance parties with friends. A college student in marketing and management in Poland, Lukasz moved to Queens in July 2001 and found a summer job at Forte Food serving food in Cantor Fitzgerald’s cafeteria. On September 11, Lukasz was at work on the North Tower’s 101st floor. He was 21 years old.

This poem was left on the N-23 parapet of the North Pool on the 9/11 Memorial for Lukasz Tomasz Milewski on September 11, 2016.
