T-Shirt
- Description
- White T-shirt for the memorial foundation created in memory of Simon Marash Dedvukaj. The shirt has the logo for the foundation printed on the front and back depicting an image of a black double-headed eagle from the Albanian flag. The wings are colored red and blue with four small white stars. The faded outline of the Twin Towers is behind the wings and the initials "SD" are below. "smdedvukaj.org" is printed below the image.
- Historical Notes
- Born in the Bronx, Simon Dedvukaj was interested in his Albanian heritage from a young age. He loved hearing family stories of Albania, and he met his wife, Elizabeta, there. They settled in Mohegan Lake, New York, and were to celebrate their first anniversary in October 2001. A maintenance foreman at ABM Industries, Simon was at work high in the North Tower on September 11. He was 26 years old.
