- Diver's glove belonging to Kenneth Bruce Kumpel. The glove is blue with small holes on the fingertips from wear.
- Historical Notes
- Kenneth Kumpel was born in Schenectady, New York. A handyman, he often worked on the Cornwall home where he lived with his wife, Nancy, and their two sons. He also spent free time on the Hudson River in the family boat, known as Batboat. A 10-year FDNY veteran, Kenneth was a member of Ladder Company 25. On September 11, Firefighter Kumpel and his unit responded to the Twin Towers. He was 42 years old.
