Trophy
- Description
- Hockey trophy belonging to Joseph John Perroncino. The trophy has the figure of a hockey player mounted on the top with an engraved placard on the base. Text on the placard reads: "AMERICAN HOCKEY CENTER | RUN & ROLL FEST | S.R. RUNNER UP." The body of the trophy has a red, white, and blue patriotic printed design and two small gold-colored American flags at the base.
- Historical Notes
- Brooklyn-born Joseph Perroncino lived with his parents in Smithtown, Long Island, in a house he was renovating to include space for his pinball machine and arcade games. Joseph also played softball and street hockey and attended New York Islanders games. On September 11, he was on the North Tower’s 101st floor at Cantor Fitzgerald, where he was a vice president of operations. Joseph was 33 years old.
