Tote Bag
- Description
- Canvas tote bag with The Gift of New York logo printed on the front of a red apple with "THE GIFT OF NEW YORK" in white. Next to the apple is a printed red, white, and blue loop ribbon with "REVLON CARES" in yellow. "Summer Camp 2002" is printed repeatedly in a circle around the logo and ribbon. A South Nassau Communities Hospital "HOPE LOVES COMPANY" button is attached to the bag's handle.
- Historical Notes
- The Gift of New York was a not-for-profit initiative that provided 9/11 family members with access, at no cost, to a variety of the New York area's theatrical, artistic, cultural, sports and live entertainment venues. During the 18 month program, 2,300 families registered, 65,000 tickets were donated, and 261 arts, entertainment, and cultural institutions participated.
