Stuffed Toy
- Description
- Plush TY Beanie Baby ostrich given to the family of Anthony Luparello. Attached to the toy is a condolence card with "Dear Friend, hope you recover from this tragedy" on the front with a cartoon of a "sick" computer.
- Historical Notes
- A native of Sicily, Italy, Anthony Luparello came to the United States at age 18. He and his wife, Geraldine, lived in Corona, Queens, and had raised three children. In his free time, Anthony would hunt for crabs off the Long Island shore. A maintenance worker for ABM Industries assigned to Aon Corporation, Anthony was at work on the 101st floor of the South Tower on September 11. He was 62 years old.
