- Recovered Allied News Service Association press pass issued to John William Perry. The card includes Perry's photograph and printed text: "PRESS | ALLIED NEWS SERVICE | ASSOCIATION | OFFICIAL | John W. Perry | REPORTER | No. 10101." The card is dated 2001–2005.
- Historical Notes
- Freeport, Long Island, native John Perry lived in Manhattan. He was an NYPD officer with the 40th Precinct and a New York State Guard first lieutenant. John also held a law degree and served on the New York Civil Liberties Union board. John was planning to retire from the NYPD to work full time as a lawyer. Off duty on September 11, Officer Perry responded to the towers. He was 38 years old.
