- Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Leonard White lived in Brooklyn. A former student of ballet and modern dance, Leonard continued to enjoy the performing arts, frequenting operas and other shows at Manhattan’s Lincoln Center. He also collected West African art. Leonard was a technician with Verizon. On September 11, he was at work on the South Tower’s 110th floor. Leonard was 57 years old.
