Ribbon
- Description
- Tribute ribbon created in memory of Vincent Gerard Halloran. The white looped ribbon has green printed text: "In loving memory | Vincent Halloran 9-11-01." Pinned to the ribbon is a small gold-colored Celtic cross with a green stone in the center.
- Historical Notes
- Born in Flushing, Queens, Vincent Halloran lived in North Salem, New York, with his wife, Marie, who was pregnant, and their five sons. When Vincent was not organizing the household to run smoothly or taking his clan camping, the 20-year FDNY veteran worked as a lieutenant with Ladder Company 8. On September 11, Lieutenant Halloran led his company to help evacuate the North Tower. He was 43 years old.
