- Jill Maurer-Campbell lived with her husband, Steven, and their infant son in Middle Village, Queens, where she had grown up. In summer 2001, she was teaching her son to crawl—which he did for the first time after Jill left for work on September 11. That day, she went into her office on the South Tower’s 78th floor, where she worked part-time as an administrative assistant at Baseline. She was 31 years old.
