Badge and Medal Rack
- Description
- State of New Jersey paramedic badge and medal rack belonging to David Prudencio Lemagne. The badge is silver with the state seal of New Jersey in the center and text: "N.J. MICU | PARAMEDIC" with badge number 1889. The nameplate at the bottom reads: "D. LEMAGNE." The medal rack includes six medal bars and two lapel pins.
- Historical Notes
- Native New Yorker David Lemagne lived in North Bergen, New Jersey. He enjoyed cycling and playing softball. David volunteered with an ambulance corps at age 11 and earned a paramedic certificate in high school. He found work as a paramedic and then joined the PAPD as an officer in 2000. On September 11, Officer Lemagne responded to the towers from the Jersey City PATH Command. He was 27 years old.
