An architecture fan whose favorite buildings were the Twin Towers, Joseph worked as a construction engineer before joining FDNY Ladder Company 15. Curator's Comment
Smell can be a powerful trigger for memory, and this Fabergé Brut 33 scented lotion was just one expression of memories that Joseph Leavey’s family had with him. They recalled him dancing with his daughter balanced on his toes and helping his son with science projects. Joseph took his children to visit New York City skyscrapers and to ride roller coasters all day. His stepdaughter remembered that at the end of each day at the amusement park, when everyone else was exhausted, he still wanted one more ride.
