- Digital print by Ata Ollah Omidvar depicting an abstracted Ground Zero rendered in shades of red, white, black, and gray, with sharp upright ruins of the towers distinguishable above the pile of rubble. The brighter bursts of red toward the bottom of the print denote the presence of rescue and recovery workers.

Dr. Ata Ollah (“Ata”) Omidvar (1946-2022) is an Iranian architect whose artistic interests and specialties span interior design, photography, film-making, art appraisal, carpet and textile design, and audio-visual effects. Omidvar characterizes the style of his artwork as “meta art” or “digital painting.”
This print is part of a series of 17 compositions titled September 11 Should Not Be Forgotten and created by the artist in 2007. The series relates to a larger body of work Omidvar began as early as 2000 titled An Overture to the Third Millennium. The artist has reflected that the variety, technique, and speed of execution of the overall series “are compatible with the new era of the third millennium.”
