- Prayer card created in memory of Michael Boyle. The front of the card features a photograph of Boyle with printed text: "MICHAEL BOYLE | August 8, 1964 - September 11, 2001 | '[We] give thanks to. . .God at every remembrance of you, praying always with joy in [our] every prayer. . . | - Philippians 1." The back of the card includes a printed scripture verse.
- Historical Notes
- Raised in Queens and Long Island, Michael Boyle lived in Manhattan. A firefighter in FDNY Engine Company 33 with a passion for politics, Michael had rearranged his schedule to take off Election Day—September 11—to work for the campaign of a City Council candidate with a friend, Firefighter David Arce. Instead, both men responded to the towers, where they perished. Firefighter Boyle was 37 years old.
