- Mizuho Financial Group (MHFG) business card for William Raff. The business card identifies William M. Raff as Senior Vice President, Internal Control Corporate Management Division for the Americas at The Fuji Bank, Limited at 2 World Trade Center.

- This business card is unique because a three-bank merger among The Fuji Bank, Ltd. (South Tower), with Dai-ichi Kangyo Bank (North Tower, 49th floor) and Industrial Bank of Japan (located at Rockefeller Center) would become a new entity, and renamed Mizuho Financial Group. The merger had been announced in 1999 but was not legally consummated until December 1, 2002. Therefore, on September 11, 2001, the card showed both names of the bank to be merged (Fuji Bank) and the new entity (Mizuho).
Curator's Comment
Business cards were ubiquitous survivors of the 9/11 attacks. Among those in the Museum’s collection, most were found in recovered wallets and pocketbooks, or retrieved from the paper debris that fell from the towers. Their variety is indicative of the multiplicity of companies and activities anchored at the World Trade Center.
Victims’ relatives and employees of businesses formerly located at the World Trade Center have also donated pristine business cards found at home or in jacket pockets after September 11, 2001. Such cards were often retained as souvenirs of the destroyed landmark or as evidence that placed loved ones at the World Trade Center. Business cards tied to passengers aboard the hijacked aircrafts were also found at the World Trade Center, at the Pentagon crash site, and in the impact area of Flight 93 near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
