- Historical Notes
- On September 11, 2001, Father Don Milligan was a member of the Massachusetts Corps of Fire Chaplains. Following the attacks, Milligan and a group of fellow chaplains reported to Ground Zero serving at the temporary morgue and comforting grieving family members who visited the site. He retained several mementos from his time at the site including this lapel pin of the iconic cross.
