- Description
- International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers patch belonging to Anthony Segarra. The circular patch has blue trim and red, white, blue, and gold embroidery. Embroidered in the center is a hand with blue lightening bolts coming from the fist. Embroidered text on the patch reads: "ORGANIZED NOV. 1891 | INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS."
- Historical Notes
- Native New Yorker Anthony Segarra lived in South Flushing, Queens, with his wife, Hedy, and their three children. He enjoyed bowling in a league and also played handball and paddleball. Anthony was an electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 3, employed by Proven Electric Contracting. On September 11, he was at a job in the North Tower’s 91st floor. He was 51 years old.
