Stuffed Toy
- Description

- Historical Notes
- On September 11, 2001, 8-year-old Jasmine Shevell was living in Bedford, Massachusetts. Like many young people at the time, she collected Beanie Babies and received this Dalmatian addition to her collection as a gift from a friend or family member sometime in late 2001 or 2002. Records kept by TY, Inc.—manufacturer of these small, plush toys—indicate that "Rescue" was introduced into the company’s special 9/11 commemorative line on October 12, 2001, along with a German Shepherd dog named "Courage." One hundred percent of the profits from the sale of these toys went to the New York Police & Fire Widows' & Children's Benefit Fund.
