- Sign with bold printed text that reads: "Personal Hygiene Station | Provided for all the | dedicated workers at this site! | Environmental Protection Agency | And the | United States Coast Guard." The NSF logo is printed on the left side and the EPA logo on the right.
- Historical Notes
- This particular sign was posted on a trailer near the area used to decontaminate the workers at Fresh Kills Landfill. It was situated immediately prior to entering the food area and after the boot washing/Tyvek removal area. Inside the trailer where the sign was posted were showers and numerous sinks; there workers would wash up prior to going to the mess hall. A board with the readings of site contaminants and their levels was updated daily, along with weather conditions.
