- Description
- Recovered handheld Palm Pilot device in a black leather case belonging to James Nicholas Pappageorge. The case hold the Palm Pilot, stylus pen, a book of stamps, and a calendar card inside.
- Historical Notes
- James Pappageorge grew up in Queens. He lived in Yonkers, New York, with his fiancée, Gina, and her son, whom he coached in sports. A former emergency medical technician, James kept a full medical kit in his white Mustang. He joined FDNY Engine Company 23 in July 2001 and continued to work as a paramedic. On September 11, Firefighter Pappageorge responded to the World Trade Center. He was 29 years old.
