Baseball Cap

- Baseball cap from a memorial fund event held in memory of Laurence Michael Polatsch. The cap is dark blue with the fund's logo embroidered on the front in red and white with a blue golfer swinging a club and "LP" embroidered in white. On the bill of the cap is white embroidered text that reads: "2004 Memorial Golf Tournament." On the right side of the cap, embroidered text reads: "Laurence Polatsch."
- Historical Notes
- Born in East Meadow on Long Island, Laurence Polatsch lived in Manhattan. Friends called him Mr. Hollywood for his appearances at celebrity parties and for once asking actress Julia Roberts out on a date after spotting her at a store. Laurence was an equities trader and partner at Cantor Fitzgerald. On September 11, he was at work on the North Tower’s 104th floor. Laurence was 32 years old.
