Admission ticket for the FDNY Memorial Day 2002 event held at Madison Square Garden on October 12, 2002. The ticket includes an image of the Firemen's Medal of Supreme Sacrifice. The ticket is enclosed in a plastic sleeve attached to a white fabric lanyard with "FDNY...Never Forget | Morning Pride Pro-Warrington" printed in blue text repeatedly across the lanyard strap.
This lanyard and ticket were given to the family of Peter L. Freund. - Historical Notes
- A native of Norfolk, Virginia, Peter Freund lived in Westtown, New York, with his wife, Robin, her son, and their three school-age children. Peter built a backyard observatory for his telescope and spent time stargazing with Robin as they listened to music by the Grateful Dead. A member of FDNY Engine Company 55, Lieutenant Freund was seen in a North Tower stairwell on September 11. He was 45 years old.
