- Drawing left at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum on June 27, 2022, by Engine 21 in memory of Mark Bingham. The drawing depicts Mark Bingham with a handwritten note below the drawing that reads: "Thank you for your bravery," signed "Abigail Heinisch | 6/27/2022."
- Historical Notes
- Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Mark Bingham lived in San Francisco, California, and traveled often to New York City. He owned The Bingham Group, a public relations firm with offices in both cities. A rugby player, Mark helped establish teams open to people of color, women, and gay men. On September 11, Mark boarded Flight 93 en route to San Francisco to attend a fraternity brother’s wedding. He was 31 years old.
