- Handwritten note on lined notebook paper, dated September 7, 2021, and left at the 9/11 Memorial in memory of the Flight 11 and Flight 175 crew members. The note was previously folded, and a pink lipstick kiss is on the back. The note reads:

First Officer Horrocks,
FAs Fangman, Jarret, King, Marchand, Tarrou, Titus, and LaBorie...
It has been 20 years since you left us. You are not forgotten, and you never will be. You are honored and missed dearly. I was a flight attendant at AA and UA as well. Now, I am trying to become a pilot.
Alls [sic] not the same without you. May your souls be at peace and may you bless and protect us crew members.

On the morning of 9/11, American Airlines Flight 11 took off from Boston. Eleven crew members, 76 passengers, and five hijackers were on board. The aircraft was filled with 76,400 pounds of fuel for its transcontinental run to Los Angeles. At 8:46 a.m., Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
United Airlines Flight 175 took off from Boston. Nine crew members, 51 passengers, and fice hijackers were on board. The aircraft was filled with 76,000 pounds of fuel for its transcontinental run to Los Angeles. At 9:03 a.m., Flight 175 crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center.
Curator's Comment
This note was left on the N-74 parapet of the North Pool on the 9/11 Memorial beside the names of the Flight 11 crew members on September 7, 2021. The note was accompanied by long-stemmed roses.
