- Miele brand vacuum bag containing thick dust, hair, pine needles, and other small particles collected from cleaning a Battery Park City apartment after 9/11.
- Historical Notes
- The collapse of the Twin Towers shattered the windows of the 10th-floor Battery Park City home of the Gupta family, filling it with dust and debris. When they cleaned their apartment, they sent dust samples for independent testing to learn about its contents. Results reported fibrous glass and other industrial contaminants.
