Child's handmade crayon drawing depicting an American flag and the Twin Towers with handwritten text that reads: "Believe | U.S.A. | We love You." The background of the drawing is multicolored with shooting stars. "Katelyn" is written in the lower left corner.
The paper is crinkled, wrinkled, and worn. There are small tears throughout. - Historical Notes
- On September 13, electrician Russell Roe had finished his first overnight shift at Ground Zero. While leaving this site, this drawing made for recovery workers fell at his feet. Touched and surprised by its presence at the site, he kept it with him as he worked; he picked it up and saved it for years.
