Poster
- Description
- Heroes poster designed by Drew Roth in 2001, featuring a multi-colored graphic of construction workers operating excavators and other heavy construction vehicles. At the bottom the word "HEROES" appears, flanked by two American flags.
- Historical Notes
- On September 10, 2001, New York-based Drew Roth finished his painting of construction vehicles working on a debris-filled background. In the days to come, his artwork came to bear a striking resemblance to the new scene at Ground Zero. Roth went on to print the image and distribute his artwork on posters along with the title “Heroes,” recognizing the efforts of the rescue and recovery workers.
