Hope and Renewal: A Journey from Earth to Water
- Description
- Foam core submission board designed for the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition in 2003, titled “Hope and Renewal: A Journey from Earth to Water.” This design plan proposes a “tower walkway” that is the length of the towers and connects the site to the water. As visitors walk this path, they see victim names etched along the pathway and encounter smaller memorials to honor various victim groups, such as the airline passengers and 1993 victims. At the water’s edge are the unidentified remains.
